Yes. As detailed in section 8 of our Terms of Service, Shared Hosting services can be cancelled and refunded within the first 30 days. Cancellations on renewals will be refunded if the renewal term has not started.
The transfer process is pretty straightforward. After purchasing the transfer from our shop, you will get an email from us confirming your acceptance of the registrar terms. You will be prompted to enter your EPP code at that time. After this, you will likely get an email from your current registrar confirming the transfer out. Often this email will have a link you can click to accept the transfer and expedite the process.

Generally, transferring your domain will add one year to the registration term. There are some exceptions to this. 1) Some domains do not charge for transfers, and do not grant an extension when transferred. Check our pricing table to see which these are. 2) Domains that are within one year of their maximum registration term will not be granted an additional year of registration. For many domains, the maximum period is ten (10) years. 3) Domains that are already expired can be transfered during their grace period. This is a special case where your old registrar has to be involved for you to get a refund of the renewal cost. We recommend that you renew first, and then transfer if your domain is within two (2) weeks of expiration to avoid this issue.
Since the European Union's GDPR came into effect in May of 2018, most registrars by default place your WHOIS information behind a privacy screen. This has the effect that members of the general public cannot see your WHOIS data from a simple query. For avoiding common internet nuisances such as SPAM, this is probably enough.
If you have more specific privacy concerns we recommend that you take the domain privacy option as offered by our registrar partner. It will prevent your registration data from being available in WHOIS at all, instead a proxy service will be listed. This is available for a nominal annual fee, per domain. See this FAQ entry on our registrar partner's site for more information.
