Frequently Asked Questions about Domains

If you have a question that isn't answered here, get in touch with our support team.

I want to transfer my domain to kCore Cloud. How does the transfer process work?
  • The transfer process is pretty straightforward. After purchasing the transfer from our shop, you will get an email from us confirming your acceptance of the registrar terms. You will be prompted to enter your EPP code at that time. After this, you will likely get an email from your current registrar confirming the transfer out. Often this email will have a link you can click to accept the transfer and expedite the process.

See this article in our knowledgebase for more details.

I want to hide my contact information from the WHOIS directory. What are my options?
  • Since the European Union's GDPR came into effect in May of 2018, most registrars by default place your WHOIS information behind a privacy screen. This has the effect that members of the general public cannot see your WHOIS data from a simple query. For avoiding common internet nuisances such as SPAM, this is probably enough.

If you have more specific privacy concerns we recommend that you take the domain privacy option as offered by our registrar partner. It will prevent your registration data from being available in WHOIS at all, instead a proxy service will be listed. This is available for a nominal annual fee, per domain.
